Tip #1 - Having a physical object. Any prop that needs explaining in some way, that captures people's attention.
Tip #2 - You need audience interaction usually within the first minute. (show of hands, look to your left or right)
Tip #3 - You need humor. Find a way to make people laugh.
Tip #4 - The brain is not persuaded by statistics and facts, it is persuaded by stories and individual anecdotes.
Tip #5 - Taking people in to the present tense can make stories far more powerful.
Tip #6 - Come full circle. Start with a metaphor in the beginning, and then come back to it at the very end.
