I like the Dave Ramsey Show clips that I have seen on YouTube... but only because he reminds me that it is still possible for anyone capable and willing to work hard (and smart) to become a millionaire in America. A political debate is required to be had if becoming a millionaire is more difficult today than it was 30 years ago because of shifting tax burdens (to the poor and middle class), stagnant private sector wages (while executive pay soars), and cost of living for everything Americans need to live has risen dramatically. I argue that all laws passed in the last 30 years have made the poor poorer and the rich richer and all measurable statistics I can find prove this.
But at the same time... spending less and avoiding debt is the key to accumulating wealth.
