Tip #1 - When someone is being passive-aggressive, they often do not have the guts to be aggressive-aggressive. Holding strong steady eye contact can sometimes make them back down.
Tip #2 - Sometimes just take the high road and answer them at face value. Give them the benefit of the doubt and be nice about it for one try. Avoiding conflict can be from a place of strength.
Tip #3 - People will often try and box you in with questions that have no good answers for you. Reframing or misinterpreting the question to where you can answer well can bring a conversation back to being on your terms.
Tip #4 - If you have given the person opportunities to change their behavior, it is okay to call it out and say "What are you doing here?" Maintain eye contact, see what they do.
Tip #5 - Walk away. Do not freak out. Do not give them the reaction they want. Just deny them your attention.
